Why this calculator exists
Selling on eBay involves more than multiplying a price by one percentage. Buyer-paid shipping, sales tax, fixed order charges, listing allowances, promoted ads and real operating costs can change the amount that reaches a seller. This site puts those assumptions into one visible workflow so a seller can test a listing before committing to a price.
The homepage is intentionally tool-first. It shows a working example immediately, lets you replace the inputs, and keeps the fee breakdown beside the result instead of hiding the calculation behind an account or lead form.
What the homepage calculates
The current release models eBay.com for US sellers and provides several category profiles. It accepts item price, buyer-paid shipping, sales tax, cost of goods, seller shipping and packaging costs, then estimates the buyer checkout total, fee base, eBay fees, seller payout, business costs, net profit, margin and break-even sale price.
Optional settings let you test handling charged to the buyer, an insertion fee when free listings are exhausted, Promoted Listings, an account-specific performance surcharge, international transaction conditions, currency conversion and a dispute-fee scenario. Every optional charge is off by default unless you turn it on.
How the estimate should be used
Use the result for pricing, sourcing and listing decisions, not as an invoice. eBay fee rules can differ by category, marketplace, store subscription, seller status, transaction conditions and account-specific promotions. The calculator displays the profile date and links to the official eBay selling-fees reference so you can compare the assumptions with the fee details for your own account.
The break-even result is especially useful when comparing a target margin or deciding whether a low-cost item is worth shipping. It is a model of the inputs on this page; it does not include every possible return, refund, tax, payment, advertising or fulfillment cost.
Privacy and independence
The ordinary calculator runs in your browser and does not require an eBay login, order import, file upload or server-side calculation.
